The dining experience at this restaurant was fantastic, with amazing cocktails. The cocktail I tried had chocolate bitters and a coconut water ice cube, which was absolutely amazing. love the atmosphere here, but eating has gone downhill. prime rib, fat and overcooked. burger, boiled. NY strips that the waitress was claimed prime I can't imagine it was. Chicken pesto flatbread huh was diceed and so dried out, it wasn't edible. No one on our table would eat it and waitress didn't take it out of the bill. baklava cheesecake the cheesecake was ok, but in no way similar baklava. it had 5 six nuts aro... View all feedback.
I have been with opus three times and gave high marks to the food, the ambiente and the service. I had the chopped salat, the grilled vegetables and a piping hot bowl butternut squash suppe. all were delicious, with surprising elements of crispyness - like chopped pistachios on the suppe - which were as satisfied as they were unexpected. the decorative and table settings have striking blue pops that give casual raffiness in the beautiful interior and exterior. whether I was with only one friend or group, our servers were attentive, knowledgeable and responsive via the menu. opus is one of my new favourites.
LOVED LOVED LOVED OPUS SRQ!! HAD DINNER TONIGHT AND SAT IN THE LOUNGE. COURTNEY, THE BARTENDER, WAS GREAT, OUR DINNERS WERE AWESOME, AND THE ATMOSPHERE WAS VERY INVITING!! CAN’T WAIT TO GO BACK!
Started right at the door upon entry. The host was extremely welcoming and friendly showed us immediately to our table. Provided us with our wine list and menus. Waitress Tracey came over and welcomed us and introduced herself. Very friendly and professional. The pace of the entire evening was spot on. The soup of yellow tomato cream bisque was excellent and the grilled octopus was the best I have ever had anywhere!!! The main course of home made parppardelle and short rib ragu outstanding and the Cioppino was just perfect with plenty of perfectly cooked mussels, red snapper, calamari, shrimp and octopus in a heavenly red broth. No room for desert but that all looked perfect as well. DO NOT MISS THE CHANCE TO DINE HERE! The restaurant is nicely decorated and comfortable. Prices are reasonable and once again the quality of the food and staff is unsurpassed.
We’d driven by Opus’ alluring flames and cool blue outdoor glow several times recently on our way to an old favorite. Tonight we popped in to try this new place for the first time. So glad we did! The hostess was delightful and we got a nice little table inside despite a busy Friday crowd and no reservation. The beer and wine list included interesting options at fair prices. Our Kazak waiter was wonderful. Wish I caught his name. We loved our arancini appetizer; especially the marinara. The beet salad we shared was terrific. I’m a huge arugula fan and she’s a beet lover. Was perfect for us. She loved her pappardelle and my cavatelli with charred broccolini and pesto was amazing! I need to learn how to char broccolini so well We didn’t care for desert but they gave us complimentary lemoncello made by the owner himself. So nice. Oh, and we chatted with the husband and wife owners who were very attentive and carefully tending to their customers in this new business. She was the aforementioned hostess and he was working the room like a pro. It’s a family affair as their son and daughter were also working tonight. We’ll be back again and again to this new favorite so close to our Siesta Key home.
First time visiting. The food and service was amazing. Must try Hungarian Stuffed Chili, Chicken Souvlaki Pita and Grilled Cheese. Thanks for the excellent service Katie! We will definitely be back.
