Despite its lack of flashy signs or trendy decor, this restaurant offers a unique and welcoming atmosphere that is reminiscent of a New York or Chicago eatery. It may be hard to find, but once you step inside, you can feel the history and charm of this establishment, which happens to be the second oldest restaurant in Sarasota, dating back to 1958. The restaurant has a fantastic location and atmosphere, but I was disappointed to pay $11 for a beef sandwich without any sides that tasted like it came from a gas station. They also charged me an extra $2 for a spoon to go with my coleslaw. Overall, I would recommend trying the pizza place across the street instead.

Old school, kind of dark, nostalgic. Extensive sandwich menu, fantastic chili, hard working staff. Very recommended. Is there a reason?

This sandwich shop is everything you want in an old school down right delicious sandwich shop. Decor from the 60?s/70?s. Images from the previous owner during their circus life. The service is quick, friendly, and inexpensive. Highly recommend for a quick bite to eat.
