Hands down the best Pierogi I've ever eaten and I ate in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn “Little Odessa” regularly for 50 years. And 6 luscious dumplings in an order for about $5. Exceptional food, modest prices and husband wife owners are nice people. She's in front, he's usually in the back hole. I think they come from Hungary, but you get a wide range of Eastern European foods. View all feedback.
What G W doesn't like about FLA European Grocery:
I went to this restaurant excited to try their pastries and baked goods, but they were out of cakes, danishes, and cookies. The meat in the display case looked old and dry, and uncovered. Very authentic place!! Many Polish/Russian products found. Homemade farm cheese=tvorog
Absolutely amazing food and service! I grew up with Ukrainian and Czech grandparents and the food and hospitality brought me back to my childhood. We will definitely come back.
The best bacon to eat raw according to Russian tradition
Delicious, authentic ethnic Hungarian cuisine, prepared like home cooking. I started with borscht and pierogies, Yes, they're not Hungarian, but I like them. I was assured by my Polish friend that they were equally authentic, as they were tasty. RrHe opted for a kettle of gulyás. My entre was stuffed cabbage, his was Wiener schnitzel both deliciously prepared. The overall experience was a no frills, but satisfying Eastern European dining experience, enjoyable even to those inexperienced with the cuisine.
