What OneBlueDog doesn't like about Villagewalk Cafe:
I had brunch here with a family group. The atmosphere of an old train station was interesting. Our waitress was good and food arrived within a reasonable amount of time. We were disappointed in the quality of the food, however, with the exception of my create your own omelet. The omelet was very good and perfectly prepared. The biscuit that I had ordered with it was burned and cold however. Our waitress said that if... View all feedback.
I went to get breakfast just last week when two employees focused on my 7 month baby i came in with, one proceeded to tell the next that i would give up my baby to her !! Which i didn'tSay. And the other employee proceeded to kiss my baby on the forehead without my permission without any warning! I found this very unacceptable!! And i will be contacting a manager to make a full complaint asap !
This was my third time for lunch at this restaurant. Today was the worst meal I’ve had in a very long time. I had the Balsamic Marinated Chicken Sandwich which was supposed to be served with arugula, tomato, goat cheese, basal aioli, on a toasted brioche bun. The chicken was skimpy and extremely tough; I couldn’t find the cheese or tomato or basal, and the bun seemed old and dried out. In addition, the sweet potato fries were way over cooked. It was absolutely horrible, and I was extremely disappointed. The two previous times I had been there, it was good. This was certainly not the case today, and I’m not sure I would ever go back.
There are more than a few outstanding breakfast/brunch restaurants in Sarasota, Florida. One of them is Station 400 at 400 North Lemon Avenue in downtown Sarasota. Owned and operated by Dean and Kelly Fox, it is open from 7:30 to 2:30 daily and has earned a reputation as the leading go-to destination for brunch in the city. My wife is addicted to Belgian waffles with vanilla bean maple syrup, whipped butter, fruit, cream and toast with jam. I always start with a bowl of McCann's steel cut Irish oatmeal with cinnamon, granola and steamed berries. And I finish with the Foxes' version of traditional Eggs Benedict, called Tuffle Eggs Benedict, with a toasted English muffin, arugula, caramelized bacon, roasted mushrooms and truffle hollandaise sauce with hash browns and toast with jam. Station 400 also has a location at 8215 Lakewood Main Street in Lakewood Ranch.
