The food is really good here. I travel a lot for work and have had some bad experiences with Chinese food at other places, but this restaurant food was on point ? I ordered the shrimp ? fried rice ? and house Lo Mein to go. Was very pleased and even had space to park my rig around back. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely come back. What Sara Dro doesn't like about China Star:
So the chicken teriyaki on a stick appetizer I think was a little bit burnt because it came out really dark and it normally isn't supposed to be this dark for chicken.I called in my order and I still waited on it when I got here just for two orders.It was very dry and definitely overcooked. If you’re going out of your way to get this,Better off going to Publix next door and making your own cause it was horrible..idk how you mess up sesame chicken. But they managed too..
The Lo Mein and Sesame chicken was great but it is the worst tasting fried rice i have ever had.
Good selection of food the people here are pretty nice but my food was find of cold when I got it
The crab rangoons were pretty good. Better than most places, even. Pepsi is a fair dollar, and everything was appropriately hot or cold.The son told me a half order of rangoons would cost the same amount as a full order. I know that is either a lie or an unfair practice but either way it does not make me want to return. I’m certain now it was a lie and that the owner would surely not charge so much for a half order, and that they are also capable of making a half order very easily. This really pissed me off. I hate being lied to, and I hate being cheated just as much.The beef and vegetable was okay and even had mushrooms, however there was very little meat and it was bland overall, despite being covered in their sauce and oil. No spice at all with the vegetables or the beef. Very disappointing.The wonton soup was absolutely flavorless and difficult to eat as well, not because the wontons tasted bad (which they did) but because the wontons themselves are so large it’s nearly impossible to break them up, even with utensils.I’d never tell anyone to go here, the place just doesn’t have a good atmosphere. I can spend my money with much nicer people, on much better food.
Come here a lot, love the food and the owners. Always tasty and economical, haven't been disappointed yet. ? Parking: Easy access ?
