What Warburton W doesn't like about Barley Sandwich:
Thoroughly unappealing. And that's just the owner. Seems to go out of his way to antagonize prospective customers by being intentionally rude and insulting. Food looks ordinary, but I can't say for sure since we walked out on his nonsense. Just make the sandwiches, man, and drop the weird playacting that you're some kind of local Chef Ramsay. It's not working for you or your business. View all feedback.

Matt, the owner, is an experience all on his own! The food is amazing, and the menu is always evolving. In fact, don’t expect to find a fixed menu; it changes daily. You help yourself to drinks and place your order whenever you’re ready, which adds to the relaxed vibe. Plus, there's always great music playing, both live and recorded. This spot also features a selection of records and various local artwork. If you’re looking for a laid-back place to unwind, have fun, and enjoy a delicious meal, then get ready—this is the spot for you!
If you're looking for a fantastic spot to enjoy delicious soup, sandwiches, and a great selection of beers, then look no further! This charming eatery offers some of the freshest ingredients you'll find, ensuring that every bite and sip is bursting with flavor. I was particularly impressed by the hearty soup, which was perfectly seasoned and satisfying. The sandwiches are equally delightful, with a variety that caters to all tastes. Plus, the beer selection complements the menu wonderfully. The ambiance is relaxed, making it an ideal place for a casual lunch or a cozy dinner with friends. Overall, it’s a hidden gem that I can’t recommend enough!
This was an unique restaurant experience! The front of the building, made you think you were entering a traditional German beer garden, only to be pleasantly surprised by the modern artful dining room, overlooking the working kitchen. What made this even more unique is the owner, Matt, in which I loved! He was personable, yet tested the boundaries of traditional customer service with his directive approach. To further this experience, there are no menus, but choices to the type of protein and notification of any food allergies. That was it! I had a veggie sandwich and my husband had the chicken salad. Both were the best sandwiches we ever had. I love to try new foods and was not disappointed. Food is an art and there are so many times, we try to massage our orders only to lose site of the chef's intent. This place allows you to have an open mind! I definitely will be back if I'm ever in the area and have already recommended this place to others!
We were in town for a wedding. Matt is a sandwich mad scientist, the food so good we had it both Friday and Saturday for lunch. No menu, built to preference. Tried the chicken, tuna steak, and steak sandwiches, all amazing.
