What Luiz Octavio Lopes Correa doesn't like about Empório E Quintal Das Alcachofras:
Totally amateur service. Very time consuming and the menu was not what was expected. They didn't know how to make gin and tonic and had never heard of Aperol. Caipirinha was lime juice and vodka without any lime pieces. Artichoke pastries with almost no filling. Atmosphere without any charm. A disastrous experience. This weekend my family and I decided to visit São Roque and we found out from the wine itinerary website that an artichoke festival was taking place in the artichoke garden. I confess that I didn't know this place, but it was the best experience we had, to begin with. a beautiful place with a stunning landscape, we ordered mini artichoke pastries as a starter, they were delicious and for the main course we ordered lasagna, wow, it's spectacular, it's very tasty, not to mention the cold beer, I would like to say that this was a pleasant discovery, I highly recommend it and we will definitely be back.
Before talking about the food, I think it's important to comment on the service from the waiters and waitresses, which was perfect. Extremely polite and helpful young people, congratulations to the team. We went to visit the restaurant and loved the experience. Tasty, quick food, worth the visit. The place is very pleasant and I had never seen the artichoke plant, it was very interesting to see it. We ordered the mini artichoke pastries for starters, risotto for the main course and for dessert the famous artichoke ice cream with wine syrup. Everything very tasty. We were three people and as our intention was to try it and it was worth it, but this quantity serves two people, for three people it is interesting to order another main dish.
Restaurant that does not accept feedback. I will post here the feedback I sent on Instagram and my comment was deleted. I'm from São Roque, and I always go to all the restaurants, more recently I discovered the backyard, and, as it's artichoke season, I imagined it would be the ideal place to taste the dishes. And it was the worst experience! We ordered 2 jugs of juice (pineapple and orange), since all the others we ordered were not available, in the years that I have enjoyed gastronomy from multiple places I have NEVER seen such horrible orange juice, when we asked to change I saw that they were making it with pulp, I've never seen them use pulp. The room had an average of 4 or 5 families and it took a long time to deliver 12 mini pastries soaked in oil. In short, I left there hungry and disappointed, poor service, I ended up going to another restaurant on the route. I'll still open a parenthesis to the decoration, as there was a board “If you have a complaint, press red” and it was a mousetrap, perhaps it says a lot about not accepting feedback.
Very cool to see artichoke plantations (the flowers are beautiful) the pastries and food were ok, the price of artichokes was high. Worth the trip Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: R$80–100 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
