Pessoal muito simpático em um restaurante bonito e aconchegante e a comida era muito saborosa. O local também é agradável apenas para beber.
Refeição muito boa. O peixe e os espetos são muito bons. Boas-vindas calorosas.
Had lunch here in old town for a change from the sea front. Loved it in some ways our favourite meal in this part of Madeira. Have just looked at reviews and think must've changed the service was great overall! Friendly and efficient, gently, humorously tempting us to have the house special desert which we did and it was excellent but 100% no real pressure. The food was classic Portuguese/Maderiense hearty, tasty, filling, no fuss. We had garlic and egg soup and the woman serving seemed anxious offered the chicken we stuck with it it was superb but not everyone's cup of tea. Then Scabbard Fish with banana (finally been meaning to try this specialty) and tuna steak both were great. This is not fine dining and Portuguese food is NOT Mediterranean food but if you want authentic come here. We sat outside inside was small, dark, cosy, with lots of football memorabilia and thousands of bottles! We'd go again.
Staff was not friendly, poor customer service. Hardly any people on the terrace and it still took forever to get any service. We tried to order ice cream from the huge ice cream menu they have on a sign, but they only had two kinds to choose from. No stock. And we couldn’t pay by card, only cash. A disappointment. We didn’t eat anything, so no review on the food.
