Ritz Classic - Sanvarden

Since we were in Goa in March when it tends to get hot in the afternoons, we decided to visit this Mall for lunch at this famous restaurant and thereafter watch a movie.We were two families with kids and a part being pure veg and rest non-veg. We went in for some non-veg snack items like Kingfish, Prawns in butter garlic sauce and crab in red Goan spicy sauce. All the non-veg snacks were just superb and tasted good, tender and fresh. Thoroughly enjoyed eating crab here, and they have the tools for eating crab. Though a word of caution for first-timers that its quite an effort and time consuming to break the shell and take out the meat, but its worth the effort.For main course we went in for a mutton dish (rogan josh) on recommendation of the staff with fresh roti's and this was also good and cooked just right with mutton falling off the bone.The vegan part of our group had only ordered snacks like Paneer Tikka, Baby corn, Fries along with mocktails and their rating was also excellent for both the food and drinks.Highly recommended for seafood.

Post seeing Dunkirk at the INOX thought we would indulge in some Goan repast. What a disappointing choice. The calamari was plentiful but not crisp & went totally downhill from - fish caldin tasted like some generic curry with bits & pieces floating in it & prawns rechaed was founded in a sweet & sour type chinesey sauce.Never we would eat badly at this offshoot of a classic!

The food at this restaurant was delicious, and the staff, especially Rajan, was very polite and provided excellent service with great food and drinks.

The food at this restaurant is tasty, but the portion sizes are disappointingly small for the high prices charged.
