Stopped by for dinner after a day at the beach. The street we were on has quite a few Chinese/Japanese fusion places. The staff were kind and attentive and spoke Chinese to my friend and me right off the bat, which I liked. Some of the menu items are a bit expensive their specialty sushi rolls are all $15+. Our stir fried baby bok choy ended up being $21. However, everything was good and the service was quite fast. W... View all feedback.
What Yvette B doesn't like about New Taste:
very expensive and the food wasn't all that over $7 for dumpings and you only get 4 same with the ribs 3 first and last time here. Better off walk to Dumplings across the street from the Conch View all feedback.
Very good but pricey! Stopped in late evening for dinner. Had drinks, seafood stir fry and General Tso's chicken. Both were done VERY WELL. Flavors were subtle and lovely. Pina colada was pretty good as was the mojito. Prices were definitely in the higher than average range $20 $25) but worth the money.

Great little Asian Fusion restaurant on the Condado strip, in San Juan, PR. This was one of my favorite finds. It doesn't look like much from the outside and the surrounding businesses on that part of the strip but absolutely worth a stop in. Make sure you go to the correct restaurant as there is a smoothie Dim sum restaurant next door. When you step inside you feel like you get away from the strip. It is a nice transition it has a classic Chinese restaurant/diner/sushi bar vibe. Slow but good service and delicious food. For dinner we had: Tuna {Maguro} $8.50) Fresh Pacific bluefin tuna Crab Rangoon $7.75) Shrimp with Lobster Sauce $22) Chuen Chiu Chicken $19) Sliced chicken breast with fresh chili and some Diet Coke in cans $2.50) each I really enjoyed my Crab Rangoon and it was my first time having the Chuen Chiu Chicken. I had it served with white rice and loved the way the chicken was prepared in the chili sauce. I ate every bite. This was a great find and walked by countless times during the trip. So glad we stopped in. It's a nice atmosphere to escape in and to grab a bite for dinner.
We received a warm welcome, our food came quick and the portions are huge. I recommend the chicken and crab ragoons! The pepper steak is bad! Not seasoned at all and the meat is chewy: The drinks are very good! And you think all this good why three stars? let me explain. I was paying with credit card so ofc I was going to leave the tip in cash but as soon as I clicked skip tip the waiter ask me are you going to leave the tip in cash which I did not like. Tipping is not required and after we got our food that was the only contact we had with the waiter until it was time to pay! I had to walk and get my own sauce, we were never asked if we like our food or how we were holding up, but this was not going to stop me from tipping what stopped the tip was her asking all my friends to tip. We never tip card that 's what cash is for! So I tell her it 's not right that you are asking for tips because like I previously said they are not required. But she said it 's American culture to tip and then says none of you work in the service industry so you don 't understand which who is she to say where we work or what we do! I found that very unprofessional and I would not come again! I 'm very big on tips but do not demand a tip! When we did not even get time to get our cash out! Personally I won 't be here again just because there are so many locals who I would rather support and give my money to! This was the only restaurant that did not receive a tip for me so I think that says a lot! Just know they don 't go above and beyond to make sure a tip is left the just think it 's American culture like respect tips are earned not given.
New taste is a great hidden gem. The ambience is a little dated but still works. The service is very fast. Our server was very friendly and entertaining. We tried the udon noodles and the chowmein and were impressed by the food. They also have great pina coladas
