We had dinner here twice a while ago, but we didn't like it each time, everything was so bland and so boring. Tastes are relative, but the food here was very sad. we have already travelled very far around the world and have tried a...lot of things, so we think that we rate this restaurant accordingly. while we were having chicken, we were asked if we wanted it halfway through, so irresponsible and stupid... never heard of salmonella? it is a mystery to us that some of it is rated so high. we can't recommend this restaurant at all. price/performance not compatible
Half a dozen of us came here for a drink at the end of a walk along the Levada from beyond Lamaceiros, and very welcome it was too. The bar’s busy, there’s a nice but small outdoor sitting area with good views, and there were...a good number of people finishing a big lunch inside too. Typically Madeiran, and ideal for us
We ate here with our friends, who live locally, on the last evening of our stay. The espetadas were tender and very good and recommended by our friends who eat here fairly regularly. We tried the house special poncha and the traditional poncha, both of...which were excellent. The salad was fresh and the potatoes coated in cornflour and fried were very tasty. We would have visited again, in daytime to see the view, but sadly we had to leave Madeira the next day. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Madeira
For the second time here and we had again beef the traditional way, perfect. We ordered also a bottle of wine and the price was very reasonable. Great view
