Siete Sopas - Santiago de Surco

¡Excelente lugar para ir! ¿Recuerdan ese capítulo de Seinfeld sobre el "Soup Nazi"? Bueno, creo que este lugar tiene incluso mejores sopas. Tienen dos sopas todos los días de la semana: sopa de pollo y sopa criolla. Además, cada día de la semana tienen una tercera sopa, que es el especial del día, una gran selección de todo el Perú. Cambian uno o dos especiales cada seis meses. También tienen platos sencillos pero deliciosos. Siempre hay gente haciendo fila, no se aceptan reservas, es por orden de llegada, mesas para 2, 4, 6 y 8. Si no te importa compartir mesa, hay una mesa central gigante para 25 personas llamada "la compartida". Abierto las 24 horas del día. Por favor, no vengan con niños... y ni siquiera pregunten por opciones vegetarianas, veganas o kosher, este no es el lugar para eso. ¡Déjenles una propina del 10% o más, se lo merecen! (Una nota para los editores: está en el distrito de Lince, no en Pueblo Libre, ambos en la ciudad de Lima. "Avenida Arequipa 2394" está bien. Si vienen de Miraflores o del centro de Lima, solo tomen la Avenida Arequipa en línea recta, está en el medio, serán como 12 soles en taxi como máximo).

La comida excelente, ¡la chicha morada peruana es la mejor! El lomo saltado de res y pollo muy rico. Las sopas son fuera de este mundo, buen pan, ¡y buenos precios!

Abren hasta tarde y son excelentes en lo que hacen. La chicha es buena. El lomo es bueno. El servicio es bueno. Si tienes hambre tarde o temprano, es un lugar sólido.

The long waiting line at "Siete Sopas" (Seven Soups) and not its name called our attention to this restaurant. After all, not everyone is excited about soups. Intrigued, we decided to give it a try and we absolutely loved it!! They have a wonderful open kitchen that can be seen from the street and a contemporary decor. The service is very courteous and quick. This restaurant offers roasted turkey, chicken, and pork sandwiches for about 4 dollars accompanied with traditionally Peruvian sauces and veggies. When you order any main dish (sandwiches included), you can order a personal soup for about 2 dollars! Our favorite was "soap criolla" (creole soup), but you have other choices every day. During our second visit, I tried a non-soup item in the menu because, yes, they offer more than soups! I ordered the "Saltado de pollo" or chicken stir fried, another typical Peruvian dish, which was amazing!! As a bonus, the restaurant is located in an area of Lima, close to the more tourist neighborhoods like San Isidro and Miraflores that you can safely venture to. We were there around 7 pm and waited for an hour. The second time, at around 10 pm and waited for 20 minutes. The fact that it is open 24 hours is a bonus. Tips: register at the front desk, no need to stay in line, move around and enjoy observing the open kitchen, plus the Peruvian urbanite culture for a truly great food experience with excellent value/quality.

Amazing soups and bread and the staff has always been extremely friendly. Have dined in three times and Can t wait to go back!
