Authentic Japanese meal. Japanese-owned restaurant, huge variety of noodle-based and meat dishes, so it isn't only a sushi place (although they do serve it). Fantastic udon and soba noodles. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ichiban:
We're here. We were 4 out of 5 party; the restaurant was half empty... the floor manager / cashier refused us a table because our party wasn't full... we missed 1 family member... I complained, but he just told me that it was a sign at the entrance, because people don't show up in Mexico... he was rude and went away from us... we left the place... we'll never recommend the restaurant even if the food is good... The food was delicious, even if they took a while to me the food was all right, the place is very nice and has a good view of the terrace
We revisited this restaurant on a second trip to Queretero. We wish we had more time in town so we could have eaten there more times. Excellent authentic Japanese food, varied menu, very reasonable prices, efficient and friendly service. This is not your typical Mexican...take on Japanese food (which has its own charm), it is as good as you will find in the US or Mexico.

We went yesterday with the intention to take away as Sunday's they close early but we got there in good time so managed to sit in. I had a Bentou Box, the kids has rice and the other half, Katsu curry. All were delicious as...usual. Service was fine and since the renovations the restaurant feels a lot more spacious and airy. This is one of my favourite place to eat in Queretaro.
