What Hillary W doesn't like about The Ice Cream:
We're camping at Santee State Park and the hubby wanted ice cream. We've passed by this little place coming off the interstate so we figured we'd give it a try. This is a pretty standard little ice cream shop. They serve all Hersheys's ice cream (quite a few flavors). It's later in the day so not many pastries or cakes left. A little rough around the edges and could use a good cleaning, but otherwise comfortable. The... View all feedback.
A Hidden Gem with Delectable Treats I recently stumbled upon a delightful little ice cream shop with a bakery tucked away off Interstate 95 at exit 98. Nestled amidst a wide offering of gas stations and other full meal choices. Part of the year there is a charming produce stand offering fresh peaches In the same parking lot, this small gem offers a delicious experience for any dessert lover. Atmosphere and Location The location was perfect for a quick detour during my journey, and the ample free parking was a welcome sight. The ice cream shop itself was small but undeniably attractive, featuring cozy tables and a quaint counter area. The adjoining produce stand added a rustic touch and provided an opportunity to relish some delightful peaches before getting back on the interstate. The Pecan Pie A True Delight My primary reason for stopping was the allure of their homemade pecan pie. I must say, it was a decision I will never regret! The whole pecan pie was freshly baked in house, and every mouthful was pure bliss. The perfectly toasted pecans, the sumptuous filling, and the flaky crust came together harmoniously to create a masterpiece of flavor and texture. Blondie Bars A Brownie Lover 's Dream As a dessert enthusiast, I couldn 't resist trying their blondie bars. These little brownie like treats were absolutely fantastic, offering a delectable combination of chewiness and sweetness. I ended up purchasing a couple to savor during my journey, and they did not disappoint. The Ice Cream Temptation Though I was primarily drawn to the bakery treats, the ice cream on display looked equally enticing. Unfortunately, I was too full after indulging in the pecan pie and blondie bars to give the ice cream a try, but I am certain it would have been just as delightful. A Quirky Service Encounter Now, here 's where my experience took an amusing turn. As I entered, there was a group of customers wrapping up their visit. While they were friendly and greeted me warmly, there was No one behind the counter, there was someone, I assumed a customer, who seemed a bit preoccupied. They were sitting at the bar, clicking on their phone, as if they were in their own little world. I looked around, looked at the ice cream looked at the menu board glanced around the shop, walked past the person sitting at the bar on their phone, walked over to the bakery rack, bought one of each of the items a full size pecan pie a small pea camp hat and some brownie things, I walk over to the counter, I set my items down in front of the cash register, I look around, Assuming the staff might be occupied with something important in the back, I take out my credit card a lay it down on top of my items, I sort of looking around I kind of sway over toward the ice cream and just glance out of the second, To my surprise, the person beside me put their phone down, stood up, and walked behind the counter. With no greeting, no hello, or any formal acknowledgment, they simply asked, Is that all? Though the service lacked the warmth and friendliness I expected, I reminded myself that I didn 't stop for service I stopped for the goodies, and they were well worth it! Final Thoughts If you find yourself passing by this area, I highly recommend stopping at this charming ice cream shop with a bakery. The whole pecan pie and blondie bars were truly fantastic and worth the detour. The ambiance and the delightful produce stand nearby added to the experience. While my service might not have been the most welcoming, I encourage you to give it a try, as the homemade goodies are simply irresistible. In conclusion, this hidden gem earns a well deserved four star rating. Enjoy your visit, and I hope you have a warmer and more inviting experience!
Are there any of these stores in Virginia? I would love to go there! I have heard about this ice cream bar store but can't seem to find one in Virginia

Next door the the Exxon, and has every flavor of Ice cream you can imagine. Plus pumpkin cheesecake bars, YUM!
Best ice cream ever. Try the Llamalicious, Key Lime Pie, Red Velvet Cake. The service is great. The girls are a lot of fun and actually seem to enjoy their interaction with customers.
