M M Country Eatery - Santee

I visited M&M Country Eatery on my way south and it was amazing food. I had the oxtail with yellow rice and collard greens and all of it tasted great. When I travel back through South Carolina I will be stopping here again. :

This is a small little place, not much on looks but big on flavorful food. It's off the beaten track and the only way we know about it was Google maps when we were looking for real southern cooking on our way to Charleston. The previous reviews were enough to go look for it and not be turned off by it's plainness. The owner/ cook doesn't have a set menu, just a chalk board and I imagine they do a lot of takeout. The portions were large and we really enjoyed eating here and talking to the owner

Rented a room while traveling. Got in turned the lights on and boy it was disgusting roaches running all over, worst yet they refused to refund , had to dispute with CC and will be filling a complaint with the health department, Mr. PATEL your putting people's health at risk. I hope you think health and safety before money.

The food is absolutely outstandingly good ! It’s clean and the people are very friendly !

This is as good as it gets! Seriously not to be missed. It is the best fried chicken EVER and everything could not be fresher. Roll in for what has come out of their spotless kitchen today. Super friendly. Big portions. Nothing but love! Cannot wait for next time.
