Ding Tea Santee was a delightful stop after our movie! We tried the Taro, Strawberry, and Thai tea, and it cost $23 for all three, which was absolutely worth it. They’re open from 10 AM to 10 PM, and there’s plenty of seating available both inside and outside. This is definitely going to be our new favorite spot for Boba, especially with their convenient hours for late-night cravings. Thank you, Malaya, for the fanta... View all feedback.
What Jenelle D dislikes about Ding Tea Santee:
This is, without a doubt, the worst coffee milk tea I've ever had. The coffee tasted cheap and bitter. I won't be returning; it's definitely worth driving two blocks to Kung Fu Tea instead. View all feedback.
Vietnamese coffee... Taste more like a nutty cafe mocha. I prefer a traditional slow dripped espresso with condensed milk. I felt like it was also overpriced. Drink was served in a papercup, not the best cup if u plan om sipping on the drink. I gave this place a try. What can I say... I've had better.
Update: I've now been here many more times than 3 times, and I love their drinks and fast service. They're transitioning away from the franchise and will have a slightly different menu, but will be using the same Boba (much to my relief, their boba is my favorite)! I have been here a total of three times, and all three times I had great customer service and amazing milk teas with (golden/regular) boba.I am honestly surprised with how tasty their drinks and boba are! I've been to many tea places in SD, and I can see why Ding Tea is such a successful franchise. Great milk teas and delicious golden boba all three orders have been PERFECT. I have had their Signature (think traditional milk tea) Wintermelon (doesn't taste fruity, tastes more like a honey milk tea), and Hokkaido (caramel coffee flavor).Their menu is slightly smaller than other chains and shops, but I consider this a positive. The interior is small, but clean, and the exterior has a nice and roomy outdoor seating area. They also have hand sanitizer easily available. On my first visit, one of the workers brought out a water bowl for my pups! I tried them out because I hadn't had boba in forever , and it is a good walking distance for my pups and I.Thanks to their good customer service and delicious teas, I'll continue supporting this tea house.
The menu is misleading. The menu shows one price. The lowest price. When you go up to the counter, they ask you what size do you want but they don't tell you how much the large is. It's not listed. Neither is the price of the topping. My drink ended up to be nearly 8 dollars for a large smoothie with lychee jelly. This place should list all prices of the different sizes. It's not ok to be misleading because then you aren't being honest with the paying customer. You obviously don't care about if the customer has allergies or diabetic. You should care. Customers aren't stupid when it comes to customer service or getting what they paid for. I'd rather go farther away and elsewhere for better customer service.
Amazing! Great customer service and fabulous menu options! Parking is a bit of a challenge, but definitely worth it.
