Cafeteria Cala Mondrago - Santanyí

Eating in this hotel and giving you a bath in the pool is a recommended option if you are spending the day on these beaches of the natural park, the most beautiful mall. make a menu at a reasonable price, with that tomato salad and tuna typical of the island, he tricked, and a bogavant rice quite acceptable.

We have just returned June 19) from a couple of days at Cala Mondrago. First, an update on a prior posting as the beach, whilst still with a little seaweed, is clean and the water great to swim. We had dinner at this Cafeteria, oka Chiringuito beach bar) Mondrago. Great location on the beach. In summary, the food was ok for a chiringuito to be fair much as in the photos on their menu although my paella was a considerable downgrade from the photo on this TA site)….but expensive. Example: Tomato Cheese at 13.90, considerably overpriced in my opinion and far more than in my experience) for the same at a restaurant. I mentioned this with a member of staff who explained the high price was due to the quality of the cheese. Mmm. To be fair, we were offered our final round of drinks on the house – in recognition, I have given overall the rating an star. In summary, ok but for dinner at least) very poor value.

Low season and after lunchtime but had to wait 45 mns for the food. Pizza and burger for my son. The pizza was very burnt on the backside and had mushrooms from a can, not fresh...?! And on top 2h after raring I got really sick and threw up all night... Must say though the waitress did a very good job with the tables. Otherwise, boring menu, boring tables and chaires, no athmosphere at all... a pity on such a location.

This is a update from my last review, sadly things are only worse everything looks so worn out and dirty, table no’s just scribbled on the table. When we walked past on our first morning a dingy was being housed in the kitchen building (no hygiene problem I’m sure) Beds old and dirty Beach very dirty Toilets if you can get in dirty Tables dirty The whole area looks unkept badly managed and yes DIRTY. I just hope that the people who run the bar now will give up and let someone else take over, its a fantastic location and should be a highlight of someone’s holiday to visit. If you do visit the beach go to the pizza restaurant opposite simple but clean. Also as others have said price and quality of food are high and poor, I don’t think they could make it any worse to be honest!

Visited this place for lunch and was most disappointed with what was served!! For the price l paid l would have expected the good to at least be warm, come with done type of garnish but what we got was cold, bland and badly presented. It may have been a bad day but l won't be going back!!
