Agriturismo Cascina Dei Canonici

My wife and I went to visit a friend in Avigliana and she took us to visit the Sacra. At the end of the visit we where starving (lot of walking and stairs) therefore we decided to look for a place for lunch. We ended up at Agriturismo Cantina dei Canonici and we had an amazing surprise. The food was overall amazing, especially the appetizers. The portions were generous (for the italian standard), the wine was great, the service was very client oriented. We had several appetizers and six differents entrees (tre different kind of pasta and three different type of meat), three dessert, bottle of house wine plus few glasses of a different one and we still paid less than 30 euro per person.

We visited the agriturismo for lunch and we had a fantastic time and experience. The food is lovely, we had the antipasti which taste divine, then polenta and veal brasato.. Polenta was the absolute top notch. Prices are more than fair, we spent 60 euros for 2 antipasti, 1 polenta, 1 veal, water, wine, a slice of cake, coffee and grappa. We had lunch in the beautiful terrace where we could gaze at the Sacra... And the cherry on top was the kindness and friendliness of the staff and owner, even when we phoned to book! All in all, we highly recommend this Agriturismo and we will certainly come back if we are ever around the area!

Such very, very nice family and staff at this restaurant! We actually walked over from the church. Great lunch! Large portions and good wine! We sat outside because it was such a beautiful afternoon and could look over and actually see the church! Large family groups enjoying lunch there!

This place is incredible. The quality of the food, mostly grown or bred by the owner, is an experience. The service was efficient. The only difficulty we had was eating it all. The food kept on coming. Looking out we could see the impressive Sacra di San Michele which we had just visited. It is sensible to book in advance.
