Good service in the middle of Mount Santa Teresita Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
The worst experience in a restaurant, what should have been a night to enjoy with the family was overshadowed by the poor quality of the product, the poor execution of the dishes and the arrogance of the owner. 4 of us arrived for dinner, we opted for this place, because of the appearance of the restaurant and trusting in its high prices (believing that they would be consistent in terms of quality). We ordered one of the most expensive wines on the menu and 4 dishes that took a long time to come out (which is not a problem since we went out to enjoy, as long as the quality justifies the wait). Sorrentinos ham and cheese with bolognese. The pasta is acceptable, the sauce is watery and little flavor. Hake filet with Roquefort. A 120 gram filet with Roquefort sauce and two plain potatoes. Catch of the day (whiting) grilled with natural potatoes. Literally 100 grams of bland fish. cooked directly in the totally white oven without flavor, texture or anything (typical of hospital food), natural potatoes, 2 raw potatoes!!! And what ended up ruining the night. Provençal chicken with Spanish potatoes. The chicken was literally 3/4 breast cut in half. And cooked directly in the oven. Without sealing on a griddle or pan. (I recommend using this step to generate the Maillard Reaction). The quality of the chicken was the worst, fibrous, added to the poor cooking, it was the driest and toughest thing I have eaten in years. The Provencal lots of raw garlic cut into cubes, with parsley, a little white wine and water. The correct Spanish potatoes but floating in chicken water therefore all soft fried and wet. Seeing this, we preferred rather than not saying anything to leave, to make a constructive criticism at the time, we were lucky to see a waiter who seemed to be the owner, at first he denied being one, until he heard the criticism and in a completely superb manner I answer that's how it is done, I am the owner. We simply commented that the chicken couldn't be eaten, and we gave the reasons. To which he began to get defensive, saying that he has had several restaurants in Santa Teresita for many years and so on. And that is so. He picked up the plate with a very bad face, and came back saying that since my son was a chef, maybe he wouldn't like some dishes. To which he humbly responded that he should be served the dish on the menu that he considered correct; there was no problem with either what it was or the value. He didn't respond and we ordered some more sorrentinos that arrived when the rest of the table finished, he just started eating. The waitress very friendly! And helpful. At the time of the account 17 thousand and something. They offered us a discount for paying in cash that lowered the price by 15,390. We gave 16 thousand to the waitress and the owner returned saying that there were 15 thousand. To which, without any further desire for our night to be ruined, with a smile we said no problem and made up the difference. Simply a very bad experience that with a little cordiality and dedication to service could have been solved. We will not return, a shame these types of establishments do not benefit the gastronomic sector. They only look for the business and the clients matter little, of course it doesn't matter it's a tourist city, if we don't come back, others will come! Don't fall...
