The Villa Restaurant Bar - Santa Rosa

Not what we expected. The menu online is very inaccurate. There are fewer options and prices are almost twice as expensive as advertised. The food however, was very good. Beautiful restaurant, just a misleading online menu.

We had a really fun, leisurely dinner. The service was ok, but I could tell they were extremely understaffed like many other restaurants, so totally not our server’s fault. Drinks were good, and they had good house wine specials. The main course took over an hour to get to us, and was mediocre and a bit flavorless once we started eating. A beautiful restaurant with the views and ambiance, but overall a little too pricey for what we experienced.

The food was good although the price was quite high but acceptable for California standards. However I was bombarded with the thought of uncleanliness. Just from the place I sat I could see 4 pieces of trash on the floor in plain view, three of which I pictured. The clamshell in the second picture was directly under our table. Another show of uncleanliness was what appeared to be the manager, picking his nose in plain sight. Our waitress provided good service and our food was a little slow but reasonable. All in all the service and deeper look at the place did not meet the expectations I had from the elegant building and the reviews I read.

I love the villa since I was a kid. But my favorite is the Happy Hour appetizers on the deck. It has the best view. The food is still very good and the service has never slept!

Italian food with great views...indoors that see the large windows or outdoor terrace seats. Classic menu with wood-fired pizzas also. Separate bar with a great happy hour as a local favorite. Honest and fair prices. The raviolis and meatballs were fantastic... My friend also enjoyed her osso bucco. Minestrone soup and Caesars salad stain. We had 'Ashlynn' as our waitress who was super friendly and attentive...Friendly hostess too. Everything in a great midweek restaurant experience! Oh, the Tiramisu was great! Salud!
