Old Possum Brewing Co. - Santa Rosa

I used to love going to the Old Possum for a drink, but recently I have had a negative experience. The service was unfriendly and the atmosphere was unpleasant. After just a couple of beers, me and my friends started feeling sick. The food they served also made me sick a week later. The quality of the food has declined since the Barrio and Austin's BBQ left. The management of the establishment is chaotic, and it no longer feels welcoming like it used to. It's disappointing to see the Old Possum going downhill like this.

Our experience at this restaurant was quite unique, to say the least. Although we didn't try the food, we enjoyed the great beer selection and outdoor seating. However, the service was disappointing. The bartender seemed to be heavily under the influence, making it difficult for her to properly serve customers. She was playing loud, vulgar music that was not suited for all patrons, especially families with children. Despite other staff members being present, she claimed she couldn't tap a new keg. It was concerning to see her behaving in such a manner, including shooting hot sauce into her mouth and coughing uncontrollably without covering it. It was both sad and embarrassing to witness. Hopefully, the management at Old Possum will provide the necessary help for this employee and review their policies on employee consumption.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. The location may not be glamorous, but they have an impressive selection of fancy beers and a staff that is friendly and attentive. I was impressed and even went back later in the evening. I can't wait for their Bachata night!

Old Possum has a fun setting great live music craft beer and some good wine!

Good beer, good food and good service! Not much more you can ask for. Go here and try it if you haven't. I promise you will not be disappointed.
