Matanzas Creek Winery - Santa Rosa

This winery offers stunning views and a spacious terrace to take it all in. The lavender fields are beautiful and serene. However, I felt a bit awkward when my group first arrived, as there was an older gentleman who worked there who stared at us and seemed unsure of who we were. Thankfully, the host came by promptly, and our wine expert was very polite and knowledgeable about the wines. They also provided us with an extra tasting, and overall, the service was excellent. I especially enjoyed the Jackson Park Vineyard 2020 Sauvignon Blanc.

The service is generally nothing special, but today it was particularly lackluster. When I arrived, I mentioned that it was our 5-year anniversary and that I have a milk allergy. We're not difficult diners or overly demanding, but none of these details were considered during our meal, even after I brought them up. Additionally, the server seemed disengaged and didn’t appear to recognize that this was supposed to be a special experience. To sum it up, we nearly left early. It was a disappointing experience given the beautiful lavender scenery and dining setting.

We chose this place because of the lavender farm and it was not disappointed. beautiful landscape, the smell of lavender was great. the wee were really good. I'm not a white wine drinker, but I bought some of her 2018 knights valley wein was so good. our host, nicole, was incredible. she took time to give us not only the education she should give, but also spent additional time to answer our unique questions and gave great recommendations for others from the way she enjoys in the opposite. she can say she really loves her job and that makes a great place to visit! highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time at this winery. The layout was easy and breezy, surrounded by beautiful hillsides and lovely landscaping. The lavender garden is a relaxing site to see. We recommend this spot for the wine, cheese plate and view!

Had a great experience! We were late to our tasting and they still let us go through the full experience. They had a members only event just starting while we were finishing up and had no issue with us taking in the experience. Lauren was a great tasting guide and was very open to teaching a couple schmucks that didn't know a ton about wine. Great stop wine was tasty!
