Contribute FeedbackThe Flamingos Lazeaway Club offers a vibrant dining atmosphere with charming mid-century decor and friendly staff. Diners rave about the expertly cooked salmon, delicious vegan options, and the festive ambiance enhanced by holiday lights. However, experiences vary significantly; while some found the service attentive and the food delightful, others faced slow service and disappointing dishes, such as overcooked calamari and poorly executed cocktails. Despite the inconsistent culinary highlights, the restaurant remains a popular spot for a fun night out, especially during seasonal events, making it an intriguing option for both casual and special occasions.
The Flamingo's Lazeaway Club is a charming dining spot with delicious food and limited but tasty vegan options. After browsing the menu multiple times, I finally made a special visit to enjoy cocktails and dinner there. Staying at The Flamingo made it a convenient choice for meals, with a delightful oatmeal breakfast and the option of non-dairy milk for coffee or tea. The lunch and dinner menus offer vegan choices, including an amazing side of mushrooms. The friendly and efficient servers contribute to the overall enjoyable dining experience at this lovely establishment.
The restaurant offers a wide variety of excellent vegan choices on their menu. All dishes are clearly labeled as vegan, and even provide recommendations for sauces to keep the meal vegan-friendly. The food was delicious and the outdoor seating area, equipped with infrared heat lamps, kept us warm and comfortable on a chilly night during the pandemic.
I tried the Buddha bowl at this restaurant and it was quite enjoyable. Even though I don't usually eat broccoli, I decided to keep it in the bowl and it added a pleasant flavor. The restaurant is located in the Flamingo hotel near the pool and has been recently renovated. They offer the option to dine outside with overhead heaters or get your food to go. The Buddha bowl includes quinoa, tahini herb dressing, curried carrot, pickles, Korean chili broccoli, miso radish, grapes, pepitas, and togarashi tofu aioli.
Our server was fantastic! She really looked after us and even noticed that my drink wasn't a virgin pina colada, so she was able to swap it out for a virgin one (which was perfect for me since I'm pregnant!). We had a wonderful time and loved all the Christmas decorations.
It has been years since we last visited The Flamingo. We decided to try it for brunch this time. Unfortunately, the service was extremely poor. We waited for 20 to 30 minutes just to get our bill, which was frustrating. However, the real disappointment came with the portion sizes for the prices we paid. My friend ordered two vegetarian sliders that were only 2 1/2 inches in diameter for $15, while I had a papaya and shrimp salad that had shrimp cut horizontally to give the appearance of more shrimp for $18. The salad also contained a surprise hot pepper that was not listed on the menu, causing me to accidentally burn my palate. We ordered tea at the beginning of our visit, but one cup was only brought when our meals arrived, and the second cup arrived at the end of our meal, which we refused due to its high price of seven dollars. Overall, while the food tasted good, the lack of attentive service, excessive noise, and unrealistic portion sizes made the experience disappointing. We agreed to give it one more try to see if other menu items could change our opinion. The venue itself is fun and inviting.
