Let me make it clear, it's probably just a 4-star place, but since my mother (which has died since) loved this place, I added a star. Large portions, very good service. Clam Chowder, fish and chips, Chile Verde plate, chicken fried steak- all very well. I remember coming here with my mother years ago. She's a picky eater and an excellent cook. If she likes it, it must be good. View all feedback.
What Keiosha Hunt doesn't like about Hozy's Grill:
Read through the reviews and it seemed like a safe place to get breakfast. The pancakes were large and thick but fairly tasteless. Home fries had no seasoning, just plain potatoes slices. Hash browns were slightly burnt and also unseasoned. My stepdad?s burrito had this unidentifiable stick with sharp edges and swallowed it partially before getting it out. Would not recommend eating here. View all feedback.
Great breakfast at this quality little hideout. Care was put into the ingredients, the preparation and the service. There's a farm nearby so there were flies inside which I didn't care for but the homemade peach cinnamon jam more than made up for it.
Food is amazing and changes weekly. I would have given this a 5 star rating but the staff is not the most professional. My waitress was on top of it but management kept gossiping about other staff members and customers. There was a regular sitting at the bar sharing food with the staff by hand feeding them. That was really weird. I would recommend this place just know that you're walking into an episode of 90210 complete with guys hanging out in the kitchen drinking.
Yummy food and fast service. Great menu selection. There is plenty of parking but not a ton of seating for how popular it seems to be. We didn't have trouble getting a table, but it did fill up pretty fast
After years of enjoying Hozy's for breakfast, this is not the Hozy's I enjoyed before. What I experienced for breakfast today it was HORRIBLE and poor service. I ordered pancakes omg the texture was disgusting.
During my recent road trip to Santa Barbara, I stumbled upon a hidden gem called Hozy's Grill in Santa Paula, which turned out to be an incredible breakfast spot. The staff welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. We didn't have to wait long before we were seated, and I immediately ordered a mimosa to kick off my breakfast experience. The drink was perfectly balanced and delicious, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. The food at Hozy's Grill was out of this world! We tried their famous chicken fried steak and French toast, and we were blown away by how perfectly cooked they were. The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the French toast was moist and flavorful. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. The dish was a feast for the eyes as well as the taste buds. The ambience of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, with a classic American diner feel. The decor was warm and welcoming, with a touch of nostalgia that added to the overall experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Overall, my experience at Hozy's Grill was one of the best breakfast experiences I've had in ages. I left feeling completely satisfied and already planning my next visit. If you're ever in the Santa Paula area, Hozy's Grill is a must-visit spot for breakfast.
