Super expensive, horrible food. We were at Maguey bay on a boat food. Shrimp cocktails are the worse ever. Shrimp plates have only 6 smallish pieces. Service is often overwhelmed by the boat tours and hence really bad. I will not come back ever. View all feedback.
This restaurant is located right in the middle of Maguey Beach. If you arrive by taxi you will be asked if you want to be escorted to a place on the beach. Just say no thank you, Camaron Gigante. Walk down the stairs and continue along the path right to the restaurant. You can sit on chairs in the restaurant or lay on chaise lounge in front, steps from the water. Drinks are reasonable and the food is good. The only draw back is that the tour boats come to shore here.
I went there as part the 7 bays trip and I must say its a really good place to eat, prices are pretty standard to other seafood restaurants, except the ones that aren 't on a bay or in a very touristic zone that tend to be cheaper, try the speciality Camarones al horno de piedra they 're delicious!! If you 're allergic to shrimp you can ask for a fish steak in the same sauce, wouldn 't regret it! Finally they offer a sample of artisanal mezcal that 's really good! Enjoy!!
At the beginning they are very friendly, they even go to pick you up at the road and everything looks nice, but what they dont tell you is that prices are extremely expensive, service sucks, and they charge you for each beach bed that you useee!! they say they have internet but thats not true!!, and besides of that is mandatory to give a good tip. that's the worst place I went in Huatulco, If you want to go to the beach.. find another restaurant to eat, others and friendly and are full of people, which means are good, good food, good service, because this one sucks, and now I understand why nobody was there and is all empty.
