We were in our way to Tarragona from Girona winding our way along the beautiful route when we caught sight of this restaurant. We saw the sign Menu del Dia and ventured in. Unbelievably great food. HUGE portions. The picture is of my Goat's Cheese Salad which was just beautiful. Dressed with honey, walnuts, anchovies it was one of the best salads I've had in Spain. What 442killiand doesn't like about Ca L'escola:
Overpriced for normal food and fine service. The decor, and menu, is straight from the 1970s, but the prices are definitely not. Hard to justify such high prices for such ordinary food. View all feedback.

Three courses plus tea/coffee and drinks was €27. All home cooked and with apparently a superb Creme Catalan. This is a great place to have a break. Fantastic value.
