Panda Express - Santa Maria

Had not been visited in panda for two years and never visited in this place at lunchtime and it was quite busy. the only word to describe my two article board is dry. dry rice, dry noodles, even orange bun was a bit dry. Perhaps they expect you to drown it in one of the sauces.

Usually the food is pretty good and the restaurant is pretty fast. Don’t go on Sunday’s after church because you will wait in a long line! Use the app you will get your food faster. Restrooms are one of the cleanest and always stocked with toilet paper!

My husband and I came to Panda on June 11 towards closing. We just got back from a long flight and it took about 45 minutes to get out meal and it was forgotten about. (Things happen no big deal) but Im giving this 5 star review to Amerah who was very considerate and apologetic for the wait she gave us a free meal voucher. Amerah handled the inconvenience so politely and professional so keep up the good work if youre reading this!

My wife and I normally love Panda and have been to them across the country, so it has been extra sad that our last two trips here were both pretty bad. This location was pretty good a year ago, but we have gone twice recently about a month apart and both of those orders were disappointing. I always order bigger plates(come with a third entree on the side and one of my pickup orders did not have the final entree included. I wasn't about to call or go back for what amounted to 1.40$ so nothing came of it, but doesn't feel great. Regardless of that both of the plates felt like they were empty, which was immediately obvious because a year ago my wife and I would always talk about how heavy the bag would be when we ordered from panda. We order the same thing every time so you'd think the weight wouldn't differ so vastly. Sure enough it looked like each entree and side had been grabbed by a pinch of two fingers, and the chow mien was dry and mostly the old cabbage that always builds up over the day. I hope to see some good reviews again eventually and then maybe I'll give this location a try again, but currently it seems the management is trying to squeeze every cent out of their already cheap ingredients. I've known Panda Express workers who have explained how management will dictate portion sizes, so I doubt it's a coincidence that there were two separate times these workers happened to decide to give us 1/3rd of the regular portion sizes. This was my first time at this Panda, and I don 't blame them for being crazy busy, but when I first entered to order, one of the employees told me that the line was 'back there ' with her hand signal, and they way she signaled that made it sound like the line was right in front of the registers, then the registers told us that the line was back where we started , so I was just confused and I asked the first employee again where the line was, and she again said the directions the same way, until one of the customers complained that i cut in line and honestly I was just confused cuz I 'm getting different answers just to find a simple line. Soon after, I place my order and ask for chow mein, with beef broccoli, walnut shrimp. What I received was 2 pieces of shrimp which wasn 't even honey walnut shrimp, it was the spicy shrimp. While I was waiting in line for my food, I saw the food packers REALLY Pack the foods really well, yet mine has a fair amount of food but no effort in my shrimp. Disappointed
