I ordered three tacos, pastor, asada soft and one crispy asada taco. These are all street size tacos. Pastor was very tasty, had good flavor and the pastor was very moist, all very good. Of the two asada tacos I preferred the crispy. I would eat here again. View all feedback.
What Virna Rivera doesn't like about El Taco De Mexico:
Very bad experience, they treated me well but they didn't give us the food because there was a lot of order and they didn't talk to us back to tell us that they weren't going to make it. We arrived for it and they just said we didn't make it because there was a lot of order but they didn't think about the customers and in need, when we got there everything was a mess and it stunk, some customers denied in front of us... I lived in Santa Maria in the early 90s, and worked at PCPA theaterFest, and El Taco de Mexico was in its prime. Cheap, delicious, freshly made tacos and burritos – – they really couldn’t be beat. I’ve always stopped through on my way to and from the Bay Area to visit family since relocating further south. It was always good, though a bit greasy. Stopped through today, and the ownership has changed and they’ve added a huge Oaxacan menu. I had the tlayudas, which I didn’t get to eat until five hours later, because it was so big and my enmoladas completely filled me up. I over-ordered, but brought lots of it to my brother up north. He commented on how delicious the ground beef on the tlayudas was. The tortillas in the enmoladas was unbelievably good – – homemade this morning, I’m sure. And the molé was fantastic, as good as anything I’ve had in Mexico, with delicate and complex flavors. I’m going to try to stop back by on my way home, and will tell all my friends in Santa Maria and Orcutt about it. By the way, the old dining room has become an auto registration service, so there are just a few tables outdoors, which is fine.
It is an excellent place to eat or take away the food is authentic Mexican food with very great Mexican flavors with new owners it has changed a lot and they improved everything much
This is where I get mexican food when friends and relatives visit. Their carnitas burritos are massive and their tacos are great too. Best food in
Just ate there this morning. I had the huevos rancheros. It was $12 and included a fountain drink. It was green sauce instead of red sauce, which both my tastebuds and my stomach lining appreciated. Sooo goood. ?Decently large portion of food, enough for me to be full but not gut busting. I forgot to take a picture. Hopefully I’ll remember next time. I know I’ll be back there soon, as it was really good and only half a block from my acupuncturist. So, less pain (from the needles), and a full belly, I’m a happy man.
The Mexican taco has a new owner, come try the food
