I had dinner at this place that I highly recommend. warm and welcoming environment. competent and kind staff. superior quality and all in sight. a beautiful discovery.
We found Casa Norcia after hunting around in the heat for a place to have lunch and wait for the church to open up in the afternoon. From the outside we weren't expecting anything exceptional, but we were happily surprised by the excellent meal and friendly waitstaff. Every detail was carefully considered, from the complimentary tasting of local oil and cured meats, to the timing of each dish. Fresh ingredients with some unexpected notes (such as a fabulous dried, marinated egg yolk with the carpaccio! . We also agreed that this was some of the best tiramisù we've ever had in a restaurant--a traditional recipe with the airest mascarpone cream and just the right intensity of coffee.

We had a bird's eye view of the patient slicing of the ham at the counter. This was a wonderful dining experience on our first night in Italy. Highly recommend. (Dined upstairs.
This was one of my favourite meals (lunch) during our visit to Assisi. The service was friendly and helpful. And the selection of charcuterie and cheese was superb. Added to that, fresh warm bread and delicious local olive oil, plus a glass of wine and watching the experts preparing everything I only wish I could eat there everyday! Best to reserve a table as the room has limited capacity.
