Ive been living in Oaxaca for 6 months and have chocolate almost every day. This place has incredible, authentic oaxacan chocolate. The woman working here was happy to share her knowledge of the cacao and samples of all the different varieties. Her family has been producing cacao for generations and you can taste the love poured into this craft. From drinking chocolate, to eating chocolate, to ceremonial cacao, just wow.

On the way to find the best authentic homemade chocolate in Oaxaca, we got a secret tip by a local friend and ended up at Corazón De Cacao. From the outside the shop looks very inconspicuous, but inside there is a dream of the most delicious Mexican chocolate including free tasting of all types waiting for you. The offered chocolate is produced and sold as family business. We took two full bags of chocolate bars and beans with us, so we can share this authentic taste experience with friends and family.
