I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, and it was good. The fries were also good. Pricing is a little steep for the combo, and it doesn't come with a drink. I guess that's pretty standard for this area. I was disappointed in the Texas Donut. The taste was good, but it was pretty dry inside. It also needed more glaze on the outside. My boyfriend got the Cajun Corn Dog, and he seemed to like it. What Karen Pravia doesn't like about Surf City Grill:
the zucchini were double fried in old oil, same as the garlic fries, the hamburger meat was cold, the quality of the food was very poor, definitely a place I would not eat again View all feedback.
Surf City Grill owner Craig Moorhead, took our order and told us about the place! He even brought us our food! Great family atmosphere on the Santa Cruz Beach boardwalk. Loved the fried artichokes!
I got so excited about hand dipped corn dogs. These were huge and looked delicious. I guess that Texas girl in me just wanted a sweeter batter on the corn dog. I was a bit disappointed. I will say though that the fried veggies were delicious. We got the combo and it came with Ranch and it was yummy!!! Corn dog would have gotten maybe 3 stars veggies got 5 for sure!
Giving this place a 4 star because theTexas doughnuts they offer are fabulous. The wife and I unfortunately got way too many fried options for lunch and the experience was t great. Howe we came back the next day just to get a Texas doughnut. They were tasty. Estaban sabrosos.
Typical boardwalk fare the garlic fries were good and the garlic was fresh (eating will make your tongue sting)!! We were pretty hungry and needed food for energy. Service was friendly and we didn't feel rushed by the wait staff even though he place was crowded.
We stopped and tried the deep fried artichokes, there were good but nothing that I would go out of my way to get again. There was a good variety of food tho.
