For the first time here I had to try the travel tip and ribs, absolutely amazing and tender, three tip was the better choice. I loved the ruin on the ribs, and I know that sounds funny, but the ribs were too tender, I could bite (lightly) through the bone and it was annoying Abit to take bone fragments out of my mouth, but overall I will be back! I usually don 't like giving unfavorable reviews but this was one of the most disappointing BBQ places I 've been, especially one so highly reviewed. We ordered the three meat combo with pork ribs, tri-tip and chicken. The pork ribs were quite chewy, chicken was dry and tri-tip was okay. Their sauce was great but there was barely any on the meat and if you want more they count it as one of your sides . Overall a bit... View all feedback.
This restaurant offers some of the best barbecue in the Santa Cruz area. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the mouthwatering aroma of fresh barbecue. I highly recommend the brisket or pulled pork. They serve two Kansas City-style barbecue sauces: a standard and a spicy option. Their sides include generous portions of mashed potatoes and greens. One of my personal favorites is the Gaucho sandwich; it’s definitely worth trying!
I've tried BBQ all over the country—from New York to Alabama, Vermont to Massachusetts, Connecticut to Colorado, and even California—and this is my favorite spot!
The meat wasn't as tender as it used to be. It also seemed like the portions have gotten smaller. We used to buy 2 pounds of brisket and 2 pounds of tri-tip for our family of six, and there would always be some left over for snacks later. This time, however, we didn’t have any meat left at all.
Best tri tip sandwich I've ever had. Dont forget to try the spicy bbq sauce!!
The breakfast tacos are fresh and fantastic. I ordered one of each, the pork, brisket and tri tip. Each taco has a fried egg and it's loaded up with plenty of meat. They use a small flour tortillas for their soft tacos, but the tortillas are really good. I also order salsa on the side which is has a little kick to it. And they always include an Andes mint! These tacos are worth the $5/each. I hope they offer BBQ chicken breakfast tacos in the future.
