Chinese Village - Santa Cruz

This is a very good Chinese restaurant with fair prices. They are in the middle of getting a beer and wine license and that will be a really nice addition. The restaurant itself is very comfortable and beautifully furnished.

A little funky with the service. The waitress was a little cold. Food was plentiful, but basic. I don't think the meat is up there. Was like buffet food from overseas. When it got cold, it was very chewing. But Veggies are fresh. The price was good. But no alcohol, even though it's on the menu?

The food tastes fine except it?s a bit too greasy and savory. Good value for the money. The food tastes better than Panda but not as good as the authentic Chinese food from Silicon Valley.

My family has been going to Chinese Village for over 30 years. Started with my Mom and now 3 generations later we all continue to go there. Both in their original location and the current one. I take my grandkids there all the time. It is our ?go to? Chinese food place. Love their hot and sour soup! I can?t say I?ve had a bad thing there, all is good. Most of the dishes they make I have not found to be as good anywhere else. It is family owned and operated. I really like that and they are so welcoming and friendly that you feel that they are your friends serving you good, good for you medicinally too, food. I recommend them highly.

The food was delicious! We ordered #3 it was more food than we could eat. The staff was very busy to participate in all customer needs. Very recommended to eat here.
