This restaurant serves the best bun bo hue in San Jose, without a doubt! I work nearby and it's the ideal spot to indulge in my favorite comforting dish on a rainy day after a long day at work. View all feedback.
What Ask This Old Guy doesn't like about New Ca Mau:
I had a late lunch at the restaurant and was the only customer there. I asked the owner, who was sitting in the corner not watching the TV, to change the channel. He refused, saying it was his channel. However, it turned out he wasn't even watching it. Despite this, the food was good. View all feedback.
This spring roll is definitely over priced. I can get the same thing for 6 dollars at any other pho place. They charged almost double price. I will not come back.
This place sucks.. Bad service and bad food no flavor at all. Never coming to this place again!
First time here in almost two years! So glad they are still here. We used to come at least once a week for years. This place is the real deal. Food still just as good, but a bit more expensive, no surprise. And I think they had new ownership a few years ago, but I was greeted by the same original workers I remember which was really nice to see. Of course we had the bun bo hue. It was pretty empty so I'm hoping this isn't the norm. Please give this spot a chance if you love bun bo hue.
