We came here for Friday dinner and it wasn't so much to do, but the dishes were very nice. We had the coconut chicken soup, tea leaves salad and Daal goat stone. All dishes were good, but the Daal goat stew was the most authentic dish and delicious mutton preparation I had in Bay Area in East Indian style. Service was good. Will definitely repeat a place. What Hilma Marvin doesn't like about Burma Bistro:
We were on Saturday afternoon. Not so busy. We ordered the mango tofu and Basil Chicken. Tofu court was good. We also ordered Young coconut water and Falooda as a dessert. It was great. View all feedback.
Burma Bistro is a cozy little mom-and-pop shop, tucked away in an unassuming Santa Clara strip mall. Their menu is pretty expansive, but if it?s your first time, the staff is excellent about recommending a few ?National Dishes? to try out, and they don?t disappoint. For starters, we had the Palata and Dip, which is like Indian naan or Chinese scallion pancakes. It?s crispy, flaky, chewy, and savory. The dip tasted strangely like corn chowder, but was in fact a chicken curry. And it was freaking delicious. I?m happy to report that after a few bites, I told everyone else in the table that I wouldn?t be sharing. Of course at a Burmese place, you?ll have to try the Tea Leaf Salad. Tea Leaf Salad is awesomely nutty, funky, and refreshing. Translating it to the American palate, it?s most similar to a kind of slaw, but it?s much more savory and flavorful and stands well on its own. Another great dish is the Moh Hin Ga, which is like a vermicelli noodle soup. I probably couldn?t even count the number of ingredients in this dish, but the flavors combine really well to make a really satisfying, hearty soup.
First time trying Burmese ?? cuisine and I am utterly impressed. There?s a huge range of fish, chicken, beef, lamb, and goat dishes that are packed with spice and flavour. I tried: ? the Mohinga a rice noodle and fish soup; the unofficial national dish of Myanmar ? Mint Chicken delightfully spicy ? Palata with coconut chicken curry The Mohinga was definitely the standout dish with an impressive depth of flavour. It was very filling. I wish I had a second stomach to eat all of the mint chicken.
Burmese bistro simply was an eye-opener to authentic Burmese cuisine. The presentation was stunning, the flavors packed a punch, and more importantly, it was truly authentic. It completely redefined my knowledge of Burmese cuisine and I'm very happy that I went there. Never underestimate smaller diners, they're sure to surprise you!!

First time having Burmese food. Was planning to hit the pho house in the same plaza but Burma Bistro looked enticing. TLDR First time here, food is legit, look at pictures from your favorite 'find me food ' app for pictures to get a better idea of what you may be interested in. Not too busy on a Friday night, we were seated fairly quickly and staff were friendly and patient with us as they tended to the multiple delivery drivers coming to pick up orders Yellow Tofu Yellow Pea Fritters The physical menu lists it as yellow Tofu but the online ordering menu lists it as yellow pea. Regardless, this was a nice starter, the home made chili sauce pairs very nicely with the crispy but light yellow rectangles. The inside strikes me as more of yellow pea than a tofu so some clarification is necessary but not that important. These were good, I would recommend them, and would order them again. Chicken Dan Bawk (boneless) This dish was quite nice! Aromatic rice accented with yellow raisins, cashews, a perhaps fried shallots I think. Chicken was thigh meat and was cooked perfectly. Veggie Curry Assorted veggies and lentils in a light and thin curry sauce. Would have liked a sprinkle of some kosher salt to bring out the curry a little more but overall it provided nicely cooked veggies to a protein and starch rich meal. Ginger lemonade I never would have imagined a hint of ginger would elevate a simple glass of lemonade to another level. This works and it works amazingly well. The ginger provided a nice spicy refreshing after taste from the usual lemonade everyone is used to. Could have used a touch more sweetness in my opinion but the ginger was perfect.
