Each plate is presented like a piece of art with vibrant colored sauces and subtle additions of flavor. This is a small and attentive restaurant with tantalizing sushi creations. Your line of credit will have to be stretched since it gets very expensive even without ordering dessert. Outdoor seating is spread out to give more privacy at each table. Way to expensive for what they offer. The sushi roll was ok, Sashimi platter way to expensive. We sat outside, they have this horrible plastic chairs and tables. View all feedback.
This sushi restaurant in Montecito is conveniently located, but I have to be honest—the quality leaves much to be desired. The consistency of the fish and rice makes me question the freshness of the ingredients, and given the premium prices, I expected much higher standards. The nigiri was acceptable, but visually it was underwhelming. While the sushi rolls were visually impressive, I found the quality to be disappointing, and the random sauces used were confusing and didn't enhance the flavor. It felt more like a visual experience than a focus on quality food. Additionally, the service was minimal, the tables were cramped, and we had to wait a long time for our food. Despite these issues, I do appreciate the convenience of the location.
Food is awesome and the atmosphere is great. Service was also spectacular! Sushi chef was friendly and knowledgeable about fish. He very friendly as well. Highly recommend!
I love this place so much. I think Sakana is the best sushi restaurant in SB. Service is always great too! I'll definitely come back!
