Mollie's - Santa Barbara

Tried Mollie's for lunch twice and have had a good experience both times. They have a lunch special menu which I ordered from. I had the Salmon both times and it was excellent. The staff is friendly and the service was good. It is tastefully decorated and appointed and is in a great location near the Granada Theater. This is a nice Italian Restaurant and the prices are reasonable.

Came here on Valentine's Night with my wife. I ordered the sea bass and she had shrimp rissoto. The sea bass was the most fishy I had ever had and the veggies served along with it were bland. My wife's meal was much better than mine. However, we only saw our waitress twice that night (to order and for the bill). Probably won't come back.

I have visited Mollie 's twice since it moved to its current location in Santa Barbara. The food the first visit was fine, but the service was spotty. The drink orders were confused, then took some time to arrive at the table. The waiter was slow in picking up plates after each course even though he passed by our table several times. On Saturday I entered the restaurant for lunch and found just 4 other people seated. When asked where I wished to sit I asked for the window table. The waiter said it was not ready , as it had not been cleared. Once seated at another table I ordered water while I read the menu. After 10 minutes the waiter had not returned so my lunch partner and I left. No server noticed.

I can’t express in words how much I. Words how horrible this place is. Aside from the service being non-existent, which I will get to in a bit. Most every wine and food item we asked for they did not have, even after us asking if there was anything not available on the menu. We were also the only table here. And it took forever for us to get any order in at all. On top of that. The noise from the Granada has been unbearable and mixed poorly. They really need to use IATSE employees for that. Which they are not

Really wish I could give a good review. The waiter spilled my wine on me, which soaked through my pants, shirt, briefs, and socks. They gave me no discount or reduced fee. They also mixed up my credit card at the end, delivering my card to another table (they kindly sent it back). Excellent food— seemed like a good staff but I would have been drier and better off anywhere else. Need new pants!
