Amazing night of authentic Spanish tapas with American sized portions (order less than you would in Spain, but you will not peave hungry). Carly was an incredible server and was able to guide us well on the culinary journey. The somme also gave us a great wine to pair with the pork chop and crab dishes, it was perfect. Incredible atmosphere and kind people all around, thank you again! View all feedback.
What Sophia Maranon doesn't like about Loquita Santa Barbara:
This used to be my all time favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara, but I was so beyond disappointed with the recent change in food quality on my last visit that I was embarrassed how much I hyped it up to my friends and family that were visiting. The paella has doubled in price and plummeted in taste. There was next to no rice in the paella, I couldn’t taste any chorizo, and the large paella is just extra meat which m... View all feedback.
We held our welcome dinner at Loquita in May 2024 and it was AMAZING!! We had dined at Loquita multiple times prior and it quickly become our favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara so knew we wanted to host one of our wedding events here.I worked with Megan at ACME Hospitality to plan the event and she was incredibly helpful and communicative throughout the entire process. We had 30 people and reserved the smaller patio located in their outdoor space and it was perfect. The food was amazing and there was SO much of it. We ended up having a lot of leftovers because of how much food they gave us and our guests were able to take some home, which was nice. People were telling us it was some of the best food and red sangria they've ever had.Mark, our server, was absolutely incredible and was so on top of keeping the drinks flowing for our guests. So many people came up to us afterwards to tell us how impressed they were with him. He was so kind and fun to be around and overall just really great at his job.The food, the drinks, the atmosphere — everything was absolutely perfect. And considering how much food and alcohol we got, we felt like it was a good deal for the price. I highly recommend holding an event here if you're considering it.Thanks you to the Loquita team, Megan, and Mark for making our welcome dinner so special!
This used to be my all time favorite restaurant in Santa Barbara, but I was so beyond disappointed with the recent change in food quality on my last visit that I was embarrassed how much I hyped it up to my friends and family that were visiting. The paella has doubled in price and plummeted in taste. There was next to no rice in the paella, I couldn’t taste any chorizo, and the large paella is just extra meat which makes it feel like there’s even less of everything else and on top of that the extra chicken that doubles the paellas price was dry. Overall very sad to have lost my favorite SB restaurant: servers were amazing as always though!
The food was not special at all. Mostly lacked flavor. I was expecting much more from this place.
I hate to do this, but the food quality was very disappointing for all the hype and price. Have been here before and didn’t have the same quality, maybe the B team is in on Monday. Hope it’s not permanent!
Absolutely enjoyed our time here. Food and ambience was top notch. Paella and broccolini were both amazing. Would recommend anyone in Santa Barbara to drop by!
