On our trip down the Pacific Coast Highway we picked this restaurant for something different. The chicken cordon blue was amazing and very large portions. My son had the duck burger with fries. He really enjoyed his meal. Highly recommend this Cafe. View all feedback.
Le Cafe Stella is beyond lovely. The food is exquisite. I highly recommend the escargot, french onion soup, niçoise salad, and the veggie burger. Although, i’m sure anything you order will be impeccable. We ordered multiple things to share between the two of us, and the server knowingly divided everything into two portions without us even asking. It was such a kind gesture. The staff was so hospitable and welcoming. We were from out of town and they gave us lots of suggestions and genuinely wanted to know more about our travels. We also met the kindest couple who seem to be regulars at this restaurant. We talked for almost an hour. If you see them- tell them we say hi! The prices are so reasonable- they should be charging you more! We are currently debating driving HOURS just to go back to Le Cafe Stella. If you have the chance and are in the area you should capitalize upon the opportunity in front of you.
Le Cafe Stella is one of my favorites in Santa Barbara. The food is delicious my favorite onion soup and fries. Ulises our attendant was very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back.
Cordon Bleu is fantastic and my wife loves the beet salad. Special dessert tonight was vanilla bean creme brule super delicious! Nice outside seating.
We come here because they do a pretty good job with large groups. The food is generally good. The Fettuccine Bolognese I had was tasty but not remarkable. My girls enjoy the bacon macaroni and cheese, but of course they wish they had more bacon in it. On our last trip there, the disappointment was the Stella Burger. My son and wife both ordered it medium well, but it arrived at far past well done, but they both said the tortilla soup they had on the side instead of fries was quite tasty. The sweet potato fries we ordered as an appetizer for enjoyed by nearly everyone. I even liked them okay and I don't usually like sweet potato fries. I'm sure we will be back at some point.
If I had just got an entree it would have been 5 stars but the carrot cake dessert was OK and the salad was good but nothing to write home about. On the other hand, the Salmon was unbelievably good. Very soft but not watery. The sauce was delicious. Vegetable went great with the fish and the potatoes were very good.
