My wife and I stopped by here after our Sunset Cruise tour around Santa Barbara. When we checked in, they said the wait was going to be around 30 minutes so we put our name down along with our phone number. They use Yelp waitlist to show you who's ahead of you. We got seated after like 30 minutes and got seated inside. The customer service we received here was amazing. They started off by giving us bread and then my... View all feedback.
Excellent fresh seafood! We ordered steamed shells, oysters rockefeller, swordfish and ahi tuna. Every dish was perfect. My husband is obstructed and fortunately they set up a table on the promenade because he couldn't use the stairs. The staff was efficient, attentive and friendly.
You use the Yelp wart list system when you check in at the reception, but I did not notice whether you can register yourself or not. But it's nice to see where you are. Not much to see the area when you wait, but they have a few bars (up and down). You can also eat at the bars, first come serve first. He started with a cup of shells. Good, but nothing special. Dinner was darkened, Cajun style Sea bass with rice and Cole Slav sides. Fish was moist, but the black Rub needed more salt or something. Came with drawn butter. The other meal was an appetizer, but served for dinner: mussels. Nice portion size. The shells were of a small variety that is good! They tasted better and were tenderer than the huge shells. They came with a broth on the side. They also serve French bread with butter for the table. Nice touch. Waitress was very pleasant and attentive.
I come back for the nice bartenders, magnificent views and the shrimp cocktails! It is also quite affordable. We have the cold plate that was good, but the cocktail was the best. Also the cup Chowder was brilliant and so was the Mai Tai! I liked this place and the bartenders could say it. These oysters were, like kissing:
I would definitely make a reservation for this place. We went on Monday and it was pretty packed. The staff is really friendly. We sat at the bar, but our server/bartender was phenomenal. I wish I remember his name, but he was an older gentleman and had a mustache and maybe a beard, worked up. We ordered the sesame bounced Ahi tuna and the local lake bass, both were excellent. You can also hit the view!
Amazing views of the marina and Santa Barbara coastline paired with delicious bites and drinks makes for a great dining experience. I tried the clam chowder and swordfish and it was all delicious. However, I was especially impressed by the savory fish and chips. Everything was fresh and flavorful and the portion sizes were very generous.
