The Pizza Press - Santa Ana

PP is a build-your-own pizza place, similar to Mod or Blaze. We ordered three different pizzas for the three of us, and we all noticed a slightly sweet flavor. The pizzas are prepared quickly, which is a plus, but the dough was more hot than fully cooked. I didn’t particularly enjoy the doughy texture; I prefer the more traditional bread-like consistency that you usually expect.

On Friday morning, I met with Mimi to discuss our order. She accurately assessed our food requirements and allowed me to customize three specialty pizzas for guests with specific dietary needs, ensuring there were options for everyone. I had intended to set up decorations before the party, but due to the last-minute venue change, that wasn't feasible. Mimi reassured me not to worry, as she and her team would handle the setup. I brought my decorations that morning and shared my vision, and they executed it beautifully the night before the party. When my husband arrived, Mimi had smartly borrowed a friend's phone to capture the surprise on video. After the initial excitement, the food began to flow. She had prepared delicious appetizers of tater tots and wings for our guests, followed by a continuous stream of hot, fresh pizzas arriving from the oven every 5-10 minutes, even for guests who arrived late. Everyone raved about the fantastic food and the great selection of beer on tap. The pizza crust was pleasantly simple yet flavorful, and it was clear that the ingredients were fresh from quality suppliers. The customization options were impressive, but the preset pizzas were equally amazing. We had a wonderful time at Pizza Press and were thoroughly impressed by the hospitality and professionalism of Mimi and her team. We will definitely return for more pizza and celebrations in the future! As for vegetarians, there are plenty of vegetable toppings available, as well as vegan cheese! They offer a wide range of options to accommodate dietary restrictions, including vegan cheese for a dairy-free alternative and cauliflower crust for gluten-free needs. They’re more than willing to customize a pizza to suit all dietary requirements.

I really enjoyed the flavor of their thin crust pizza. The restaurant itself didn’t have much of an ambiance, but the food was excellent.

This location is very stingy with their ingredients. I ordered through doordash and paid for them to add extra toppings but received table scraps.

So we went to this place for the first time to order pizza and buffalo wings to go. Once we got home we opened up the Buffalo wings and there was absolutely no sauce on them. If you tasted the wings there was absolutely no hint of buffalo flavor. I called them back to discuss the issue with them and they assured me they added buffalo sauce and the confusion might be from the fact that they are using new wings that are whiter than before. I don't know what the color of the wings would have to do with there being no buffalo sauce. They told me the only thing they can do is have me drive all the way back over there and return the wings so they could then remake them. I expect buffalo wings to be spicy and liberally covered in sauce which is the main reason why i order them.. The pizza was decent tho. The whole situation was just super disappointing after an already long and bad day.
