Contribute Feedback What Olivia Martín doesn't like about La Rueda:
The worst food I've eaten in many years...it reminded me a lot of a nightmare in the kitchen. 17e for two baby squid stuffed with a white paste that tasted sour and all covered in a white sauce that I couldn't figure out was...a cod that was bad and totally inedible as if it had been defrosted several times (luckily they didn't have the face hard to charge us later in the account) bad battle meatballs with boat tomat... Never got around to going in May 23, so determined to try this time Oct 23. We'll worth the visit and in fact booked for next week (Thurs). All the tapas dishes we tried 5 6 were delicious, service was great, the staff were outstanding. There understanding of English was far better than my Spanish I did try to do all Spanish but it was quicker and easier in English thanks guys and thanks for fitting us in as a walk in. You are now on our must do list when we visit each time along with the Clementina and the coffee cake shop in Sant Luis. The place was full of locals which is a good sign for me.
We ate here at lunchtime in our last day in Menorca. It is a restaurant we’ve visited before so a good review is overdue. Looking for negatives, the service was a little slow initially, but we had time. The Tapas which we ordered to share as a family was wonderful. First, to arrive was a basket of bread, meant balls and Russian salad. Each worth a 10/10. Next to arrive was the order of sausage, the grilled liver, the cod bites, the chicken and a portion of chips. All excellent with the fish fresh and flavoursome. We didn’t order Patatas Bravas this time, was good last time we visited, but not needed with chips. Would we go there again. Very probably. Commendable.
Sorry to have to write this as it has been one of my favourite restaurants. My wife and I visited in mid October and were completely ignored by all the waiters, whilst others arriving after us were served with menus straight away. After about ten minutes we upped and left.
The food is homemade, the service fast and friendly. The cuttlefish with peas, meatballs and omelette are very good.
