Dropped in for dinner. A traditional looking restaurants, family run. Waiter and waitress are very friendly. Wife had a meat Paella, which was nice and tasty. I had a Mallorca style lamb shoulder. It was superb, slow cooked and succulent. I expect we will be back before our holiday is over. View all feedback.
What mswright85 doesn't like about El Sol:
We ate out in the evening on seven occasions whilst staying in Sa Coma and this was the only place that left us feeling ripped off. Girlfriend's Pina Colada had no alcohol in it, my lager was flat, whilst my girlfriend's seafood paella was burned and hardly had any seafood in it. My Spaghetti Bolognese was underwhelming and the service was poor and frankly strange. View all feedback.
Not a great experience. I can only think they are new to the restaurant business. Certainly seemed different to when we visited four years earlier. Firstly, three of us were sat at a table only set up for two. ‘No problem’ I thought, he’ll come back and set the third place…. meanwhile the waiter came over with only two menus (reminder that there were three of us). Still no third place set. Eventually came back and we were straight into the food order, no offer of drinks whilst we perused the menu. Still no third place set. Waiter picked a basket of condiments from another table and placed on our table. He seemed pleased with this achievement. Still no third place set. Our daughters meal arrived. Still no third place set. I then asked for cutlery for her. At this point I couldn’t believe he didn’t even notice there was no place set for her. He came back with cutlery. She had almost finished her meal, when the rest of the food arrived. Pizza was average. Decided not to bother with desert. We ate and left. No tip left due to the really poor service. Needless to say we did not return during our 10 day stay. These people need to go and learn some basics of ‘waiting’.
Stopped for a paella lunch with my boyfriend. It was a tasty dish, reasonably priced with lots of seafood. Food seems authentic and worth stopping for.
Terrible. My husband decided to try it. The food was not good and when we contacted the waitstaff, they couldn't care less. They brushed us off. Such a terrible experience.
