Was User at Meson El Rancho a mag?
They attend fast, friendly staff, normal food but what didn't bring me was the difficult location and how little it seems to be a place of food apart from the car that's in full sun. View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Meson El Rancho:
grilled food, fried fish and dressing. regular dressing and desserts. the meat if it is worthwhile even though in the last years they have been losing quality. They're selling for inertia. They don't care so much about the point of the flesh and especially the attention of the waiters doesn't get me, they are stressed and saturated of work. This in peak and festive hours, in normal days I have lunch and the deal if i... View all feedback.

Great food, meat and fish options. Kids happy and large restaurant so great for families. Lots of locals which is a good sign. Great value!

Its been about 8 years since we last came here, but will come back for the BBQ'd chicken before another 8 years pass!! This place is like a giant garden shed – with wood cladding on the interior walls and benches with tables. It is vast and seats about 250 people. On the Saturday night when we were there probably about 1/3 were occupied so it was quite noisy with lots of locals in large family groups enjoying themselves. It is on the outskirts of Sanlucar in a mainly residential area, so you really need to drive to get there. They specialise in meat, cooked on a grill/barbecue. The mixed meat grill is popular and included pork, chicken and sausage. The portion sizes are huge and therefore this restaurant is good value, the 16 Euro dish can feed 3 people. The huge pile of chips were home cooked. We had a bowl of salsa mojo picon (the Canarian spicy sauce served with meats or potatoes) and it was home-made and tasty. Some of the other stew based dishes going to nearby tables looked very good and were large portions. The mixed salad starter was large and had all the usual components. They listed a range of desserts as home-made and the cheesecake certainly seemed to be, although the strawberry sauce was cloyingly sweet. The local white wine was 7E a bottle.

Been going to El Rancho's for several years as a couple, as a family and with friends. The food is simple but great quality. The meats and fish are cooked on a huge grill at the back of the restaurant. The service is efficient and friendly. Despite our lack of fluent Spanish they try to explain each of the dishes. It is a fun place and the later you go the more Spanish will be eating there. It is a local place to eat. I think they have the capacity for several hundred but it never seems full. We like the quality meat and salad approach with a friendly, lively atmosphere. You will have to follow good instructions to find the restaurant is the only draw back once found you will return !
