I was a day in St. Wendel for my job and, after a walk in the centre of the town, I decided to stop in this restaurant. What attracted me was the atmosphere as an old cave: the tables are not so many, and they...are allocated in the different rooms obtained in the cave I ordered a onion soup which was good and a typical dish that is a very very big sausage with potatoes. Friendly, quick service with an even better kitchen and a real nice wine menu that complements seasonal and regional cuisine.
I'm glad we had a chance here. it looks as if all reviews are in front of the new property that was taken over in november, I am always looking for new places to go in our opposite and was pleased that this restaurant... is still more exciting than expected. the ambiente is wonderful. there is a larger main area with a bar that is perfectly decorated and several smaller areas that wrap backwards when they are interested in eating more intimate. the wine cellar is years old, so much history there. for dinner we had the baked ham cheese (cheese,) which was light and fluffy with perfect spice. I had the steak and my man had the lamb that both were cooked for perfection. we ended up with a cream brûlée that had a shovel homemade sorbet and absolutely wonderful. the service was great, good wine selection. really nothing bad to say about this place. will come back in any case!
I really love this place! the owner and the personal are incredibly friendly. eating is delicious and the environment is very romantic cozy.
The eating is then better German average price with seasonal specialties, the restaurant is located in a middle teufel cellar and the ambiente is amazing. the place has a very familial and operational feeling, and if you moose there they are treated as one of the family. prices are reasonable compared to some of the other restaurants in the environment. that's mine when I have guests from the city and we want to eat them in the city. in summer there are several tables outside to enjoy the weather and observe the people.
