General The restaurant is located directly on the main street of the 310 inhabitants of St. Ottilien as part of the town of Helsa. Useable parking spaces are located directly opposite the restaurant. From the outside, the locality, as the name says, looks like an old barn. When entering the restaurant, we were welcomed very friendly and were immediately assigned to our previously reserved table. It has always been taken care of whether everything is to our satisfaction and we were always provided. Daily meals, desserts and liquors were recommended. We felt completely family treated. The menu was very clear, few dishes, but there was something for everyone. WIe mentioned above, 2 daily meals were recommended. Once short roasted pork with supplement by choice (croquettes, pommes, roast or roasted potatoes) and filled pork ends with red cabbage and cash (for all dishes a mixed salad is included). We had 3x the filled pork ends, 2x the short-fried pork ends with pommes, 1x barn end scissors (Wiener Schnitzel with roasted potatoes, bacon and mirror egg) and 1x hunting scavenger. After we got our drinks, we gave our order at 12:38. The waiting time was very pleasant with 13 minutes (short-fried pork ends), 15 minutes (snow and hunter scavengers) and 18 minutes for the filled pork ends. The salad was served shortly before the main dishes. This consisted of a fruit salad with pineapple, a herb salad with Schmanddressing, a green head salad with Schmanddressing and a bean salad with also a Schmanddressing. Now back to the main courts. I had a filled **** myself. 5 slices of pork ends were made with minced meat and green pepper, as well as 3 semmelk noodles, red cabbage and dark roast sauce. The end of the pig was very delicate, generally the wort was very well tasted. All in all, I have no reason to complain. It was very delicious. The price of the dishes is between 7.00 Euro and 11.00 Euro. The ambience The main room has a dimension of about 5 x 8 meters. There is a bar and 4 table groups and access to the toilets. However, there is another guest room which is separated from the main room by a door. This is about twice as big. The interior is very rustic, you feel the same as in a barn. There is a large wreath of straw hanging on the ceiling and you can also find convulsions, hunting corals and everything that belongs to agriculture and fits into the ambience. All in all a successful interplay of different decorative elements. Also a typical rustic country inn. Cleanliness The tables were all clean, the same also applies to the tablecloths or Table runners. The floor was also clean. I didn't see any dirt or dust. Everything worked very well.
It was very delicious and all were super nice.
