I had a jalapeno bacon horseshoe and it was delicious. (It was pretty spicy, I thought). The waitor, Brandon, was excellent cordial and available. He made certain every need was met. One thing that all in our party agreed on, was that it was comfortable and the noise levels were such that you could have a normal conversation at your table without shouting which is my complaint at most sports bar type places. What Jonathan Reyman doesn't like about Cousin Eddie's In Spr:
Good food, good service, low prices. What more do you want? My Philly cheese with fries, my wife's black bean burger with tots, and we're both happy. The ambience leaves something to be desired, but we're here for a quick lunch, not a vacation, It's not Fast Eddie's in Alton but his Cousin Eddie's in Springfield. 3/22/2024: Came for a late lunch. My wife had her usual black bean burger and tater tots. It was fine. I had the fish sandwich and fries. The sandwich was large, the fish was tasty, but the bun was stale, and the fries were cold and soggy. A real disappointment. We had an excellent server, but the men at the next table were loud braying donkeys who had too much beer. they were so loud, we couldn't have a conversation without putting our heads together.
Service is horrible order chicken and is was dry like sand
Cold food. Waitress were busy talking to each other. Never got a soda refill. Usually have good service
