What Susan doesn't like about Third Alarm Diner:
Coffee is very good! Cups are way too small, and with the slow service it's a long wait for refills. Food is good. $18 large meatloaf dinner not worth the price. Only got one and a half thin pieces. Carrots and mashed potatoes were excellent!! View all feedback.
We normally LOVE it here. Today there were several black flys inside that I was consistently guarding from landing on my food. The waitress specifically asked if we wanted all of the dishes out together and we said yes. One dish was ten minutes later than the rest and undercooked/cool to the touch. No apology for it being late or poorly cooked. I asked them to take it back and fix it and when it came out, it was the same. They asked if it was better and I said barely and she just walked away. I don’t know if the staff is new today or just off their game but I am incredibly disappointed in one of our favorite places.
Food was pretty good. Had the lobster Mac and cheese and stuffed scallops. It was nothing to write home about. But service seemed a bit curt. They have beer or other alcoholic drinks which is nice since it’s rare diners have alcohol.
We have been going here for several years. Food is always good. Service is great and the prices are reasonable.
Food was not very good. But the service was. Burgers DRY like sawdust but the fries were amazing. Maybe a bad day for cook... idk but a lot to be said about great customer service
Toxic owner! We’ve always loved going to third alarm, there is great food and wonderful service. HOWEVER, we had the pleasure of seeing the owner in action tonight. The diner was incredible busy, and had only two (wonderful) servers Brianna and Mason (I think is her name). The owner came in and started berating these poor girls and micromanaging without offering a single ounce of help during the busy rush. The two servers had everything under control and did not have one unhappy customer. Knowing that third alarm is owned by such a toxic woman makes me really sad, and wonder how she treats her other employees who are out of sight behind the kitchen. She didn’t even make an attempt to be quiet with the condescending remarks. She was speaking to them loud enough for everyone at the bar to hear. I would hate to work for such a toxic owner. It saddens me because we’ve been coming here for years and it’s such a cozy neighborhood spot.
