What Grammas Corner doesn't like about Red Oak Family:
Ate dinner there 2-3years ago during the week. The special was catfish. Worst dinner I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Fish was raw and had liquid coming out if it when cut open. The Mac n cheese was awful and the mashed potatoes were disgusting as well as the pea green gravy. Even the creamed soup was greenish and tasted like cauliflower. Which it was not. Excellent burger made exactly as I asked. I'll be back. Please serve Pepsi.
Went for Easter lunch. Good home cooked type meal. Fried fish and shrimp delicious not dry and not overly breaded. Everything else was delicious as well. The waiter we had was outstanding. Highly recommend.
Was there on a Saturday night and tried the Buffet again, didn't get any better. The fish was Pollock which was poorly cooked, shrimp was butterfly and just poor quality, the beef is still a mystery to me. After looking around and seeing the place mostly empty I now know why.
They make the BEST chicken quesadilla, I'd ever had . The chicken and cheese were cut in thick pieces and the cheese was evenly layered over the chicken. That when you took a bit, you got a good size taste of all of it. The cost was well worth it. The price I spent is my business but for 3 people it was pretty fair. I see they ha very so many other dishes I'd like to try and if they are as good as the quesadilla. Then I've found a great place to eat. There only 19 minutes from me located in Sanford Mi. Stop by sometime when you can. Give em a try.
