The food at this restaurant is excellent. I have been dining here for 27 years and have always enjoyed the great value for a hearty meal at a reasonable price. I usually budget around £150 for a party of 4 including drinks at the bar and wine. The service is also very good.
This restaurant offers authentic Austrian cuisine, despite some employees not speaking German. It is a large and intimate place to visit, but reservations are recommended. The beer and wine selection is great, and the food is well prepared at a reasonable price. The only downside is that the staircase leading downstairs has too many steps and is not easily accessible. The waiter service is good and cash payment is preferred. Overall, I highly recommend dining here. Unfortunately, Frankanzls is now permanently closed.
More of an experience than eating somewhere. I am often here and will continue to do so.
It had been years since I had been to a French restaurant, and it was only by luck that we stumbled upon this place while driving around looking for somewhere to eat. We decided to give it a try on an early Saturday evening without a reservation, and luckily we were able to get a table. We even found parking right outside on Milcote Street. We couldn't believe our luck - the restaurant turned out to be a hidden gem that we never would have expected!
